INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 26, 2008):

AIT Laboratories, the nation’s leading forensic toxicology lab that also specializes in pain management, clinical and pharmaceutical testing, has been featured in the inaugural edition of the Life Sciences Indiana e-newsletter published by Inside INdiana Business and sponsored by BioCrossroads and Indiana University.

Each month the e-newsletter features news, opinions and resources from the life sciences industry and provides perspective on the importance and impact the life sciences industry has on the State of Indiana and its future.

Developing Drugs in Indiana:

BioCrossroads has released an extensive report on major developments within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries holding significant promise for Indiana's continued life sciences growth. "We've released a report that we've been working on for the better part of two years on Indiana's present and Indiana's future as a provider of highly sophisticated services for the development and marketing of new drugs," says BioCrossroads President and CEO David Johnson.

One company that is already capitalizing on the emerging contract service market is Indianapolis-based AIT Laboratories. Chief Executive Officer Dr. Michael Evans says the company already provides contract services for the pharmaceutical industry.
