AIT Laboratories, a leading forensics, pain management, clinical, and pharmaceutical testing facility, is announcing the expansion of its pharmaceutical services and has chosen an industry veteran to lead the division. AIT has named Ronald Shoup, former co-founder and chief scientific officer of West Lafayette-based Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:BASI), as its executive director of Pharma Services. “Ron brings 30 years of leadership, entrepreneurship, and scientific expertise to AIT as we look to expand our facility to meet the growing needs of the Pharma industry,” said AIT President and CEO Michael A. AIT supports clinical trials through its current drug analysis services and expects to offer regulated bioanalytical services for preclinical development in the future. Almost 20 years of experience in sample management enables AIT to offer the highest quality of organization for the collection, distribution, maintenance, and reconciliation of samples from clinical studies. As a premier leader in the application of mass spectrometry for biological samples, AIT routinely develops, validates, and performs mass spectrometry analysis in support of new drug development.
